Capturing the breathtaking Aurora Borealis display in Joshua Tree that was triggered by 2 extremely powerful X-class solar flares from the sun on November 11, 2025! I usually timelapse with 2-3 cameras and, in the darkness, I lost track of this camera’s location and accidentally walked into its shot while looking for it. It’s funny seeing myself fly through the frames in here under the northern lights. While easy to edit out, I decided to keep it for this post. Enjoy! #auroraborealis #northernli

It’s starting to get more and more difficult getting dark sky photos of Comet Lemmon. First we have high clouds rolling into the Mojave desert with more clouds and even rain over the next few days. Second, the Comet is now low to the horizon and you have to look through more atmosphere, haze and light pollution. Third, it is setting below the horizon earlier each day. Currently it’s seen moving across the night sky in front of the Galactic Core of the Milky Way. Interstellar Comet 3I/Atlas slowly traversing the constellation Leo. This is a 3 hour timelapse sped up to capture the movement of the comet.
