What a max test looks & feels like ↓ Here’s the protocol I did: after a medical check, 3-minute stages on the treadmill, each one 1,8km/h faster than the last, with lactate measured between sets and oxygen data tracked every breath. You keep going until you hit true exhaustion… or at least, that’s the idea. I didn’t fully hit that “collapse on the treadmill” max, which apparently is common the first time because it feels a bit scary to push that hard on a moving belt. Still, it was a very hard t
