The first wild bison calf was born in Britain in more than six millennia. The birth, on Sept. 9 in southeast England, was a happy surprise for rangers at the Kent Wildlife Trust, a Britain-based conservation charity. The birth is a big deal for a number of reasons, including that bison were once on the brink of extinction.
