The endemic and iconic Jamaica’s Giant Swallowtail only survives today in two small populations. Eastern population – Blue & John Crow Mountains. Caterpillars feed only on Water Mahoe (Hernandia catalpifolia). Western population – Cockpit Country Caterpillars use a different tree: Hernandia jamaicensis.
