Working on internal hip rotation pretty much will feel pretty crampy and boney for most people. When doing external hip rotation stretches you get to feel your glutes being stretched out and it can feel more relaxing and “natural” This is not the case with internal, doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong or you’re super duper limited, it’s just not as nice to work on, and that’s fine!
