Cornish shoppers have been left bemused after multiple Welsh language signs appeared at their local Tesco, a mistake Cornish language experts have branded “embarrassing.” The store in Helston mistakenly put up bilingual signs directing shoppers to groceries such as “cig a dofednod,” Welsh for meat and poultry, instead of the Cornish term “kig and yar.” Supermarket chain Tesco has since apologised for the mistake and says the store has now removed the signage. | ITV News West Country
