Candy Cane Advent Calendar 🎄🍭 I started by cutting out a giant candy cane shape from cardboard. I painted it red and white, then cut toilet paper rolls in half — 12 red and 12 white. I also cut 24 slightly larger paper circles (12 red and 12 white) and wrote the numbers 1–24 on them. I glued the rolls onto the candy cane base, filled each one with a tiny toy or treat, and then sealed them with the numbered paper circles. It's December 2nd and today we opened the second door to reveal a Candy Cane. We chose a Candy Cane because there is an incredible story that goes along with its origin. According to legend there was a candy maker that wanted to make a candy that would be a reminder of Jesus Christ. It started with pure white candy symbolizing the virgin birth and sinless nature of Jesus.
