    Did Buffett buy Pilot?
    Berkshire Hathaway acquired a majority stake in Pilot for a reported $2.76 billion in 2023, as part of a deal that left the Haslam and Maggelet families with 50.1% and 11.3% ownership respectively. Berkshire had previously acquired 38.6% of Pilot in 2017, which was once called a ‘sensible’ acquisition by Buffett.
