Nico Erik Rosberg (born 27 June 1985) is a German and Finnish former racing driver and entrepreneur, who competed under the German flag in Formula One from 2006 to 2016. Rosberg won the Formula One World Drivers' Championship in 2016 with Mercedes, and won 23 Grands Prix across 11 seasons.

Nico won the Japanese GP, giving himself a 33-point advantage with four races left. Hamilton would win the final four races. However, Rosberg was second on all occasions, including a tense season finale as Lewis led and attempted to back his team-mate into other rivals.

When he was just six years old Nico Rosberg decided he was going to emulate his famous father and become a Formula 1 World Champion. It seemed a far-fetched fantasy, even for a boy benefitting from a privileged upbringing in Monaco.
