Jul 19, 2017 · Yes, but we don't need the textures changed, they're fine the way they are. Why don't they add a new block or mob, and those few guys could bring some good ideas together and design (visually) a nice new building block or special monster?

Jun 10, 2017 · UPDATE: Made a version with the old gold/iron/diamond block side texture, but the side texture is on top and bottom too. UPDATE: Made a version that uses textures from waay back (classic 0.0.14a for example)

Jul 19, 2017 · Yeah, but the complexity of the textures are going way up, take obsidian for example, the original texture of obsidian just had some mild highlighting and that's it, it's mostly a singular block color, compare that to the new texture of obsidian and there's these giant slashes through it and huge gradients.

I think the classic minecraft diamond has a lot of merit on the grounds that it makes more sense for something hacked out of the ground with a pickaxe to look a bit rough and shapeless, but I wanted to put my own take on a more traditionally cut diamond, hence the texture I came up with.
