Jan 7, 2021 · The 30W charger from the MacBook Air definitely doesn't have enough power to supply both USB-C and USB-A ports on my Caldigit SOHO dock. My M1 MacBook Air goes to sleep when using clamshell mode if I plug in an ethernet adapter and then a thumb drive. I guess if the charge falls off, the power circuit thinks the MBA isn't plugged in to the charger.

Nov 20, 2020 · So today I forgot my M1 MBA charge brick at home, but had a cable and a HomePod mini at my office. Turns out HomePod’s 20W brick is capable to charge M1 MacBook Air from 20% to 100% in around 4 hours, even when using it for work with a 4k monitor. Hopefully it won’t hurt my laptop battery. Probably the opposite.

Also, even with small raw files, when you zoom in and pan around the image, the image freezes every time you move it. “Normal” Lightroom (non-classic) runs a lot smoother.
