I watched 28 weeks later last night, as I was watching I looked it up on IMDb and read the trivia. It stated that 28 months later wasn’t going to go ahead due to two of the people who wrote the franchise are now no longer on speaking terms.. meaning no 28 months later unless they started to talk again. Hope that made more sense 😂

Nov 3, 2022 · 28 months later is quite a time skip compared to days and weeks. I loved 28 days and 28 weeks later, so I do look forward to it. Though I do hesitate given how bad some 'continuations' of horror IPs have been as of late.

Sep 25, 2017 · Fox was picking up a larger and potentially more lucrative property at the time that sort of blew past the whole 28 Months Later premise. So Fox Searchlight distributed 28 Days Later in 2002 and 20th Century Fox & Fox Searchlight backed/distributed 28 Weeks Later in 2007. Originally a 28 Months was on deck for a slated 2010 release.

Theyve been talking about it for 10 years, would be cool if they did it right. 28 Days Later is horrifying, and I actually liked 28 Weeks Later too. What could the zombie thriller "28 Months Later" or "28 Years …
Since the virus is transmitted via liquid, it could live indefinitely by simply going dormant until a new host becomes available. So 28 Months/Years later would have to have a new outbreak, due to mishandling of a corpse, drinking untreated water, swimming/bathing in a body of water, etc.
