Once you complete this star, Luigi will appear at the start of certain levels. Talk to him, and you can play as him instead of Mario!
I don't understand why Mario Galaxy 2 is still not on Switch
tl;dr I’m pretty sure that Galaxy 2 isn’t getting ported because there are nigh-insurmountable control issues, especially in handheld mode. The only way I see it happening is if they drastically change how significant parts of the game work.

I personally prefer 64, as it (unintentionally) lets you play for 16 stars, 50 stars, 70 stars, etc. Galaxy is a bit too linear for my taste, however I still love that game. I’m curious to see what the consensus is on this site.
