Dec 11, 2019 · Having said that, I have never bought downloads that were not Hi Rez. All the Amazon MP3s (about 45-50 albums worth) I have I got free from Amazon for buying the corresponding CD. Can't complain about free. But I understand that if you are going to buy and are concerned about SQ, Apple may be a better bet. Others may disagree.

Mar 12, 2013 · I noticed that the Amazon store's downloads are 256kbps MP3 while iTunes AAC I believe is now 256kbps across the board. I still buy some digital music (I do realize a CD is better), but many albums I'm finding on Amazon are sold for $3 in MP3, which is an incredible deal considering iTunes is charging 3 to 4 times that.

Jul 26, 2020 · I still buy most of my physical music on Amazon, but for sampling I find iTunes a little easier to use. For me, Amazon’s sampling was a little slow at times. Just checked... four MP3 albums I have on my Wish List don’t have sampling functioning any more.

Sep 4, 2020 · Time went by and it got added into my amazon music - they must have changed it briefly where there WAS AutoRip or something happened (either way I was happy to have a free digital copy). To have it ONLY on a Vinyl version and not CD is the other stupid thing they do.

Jan 2, 2021 · If an album is only available on Itunes or Amazon or Spotify in a lossy compressed format, Qobuz sells the exact same stuff. Some of the interesting new digital only comps I saw on Qobuz ended up also being available on every other other digital download site like Tidal, Spotify, Deezer. So with all that said Qobuz is 'no-buzz' in my book.
