Aug 22, 2010 · "Removable disk J" was apparently a USB thumb drive. When you remove the drive, naturally the drive letter will disappear from your Computer. When you put the USB thumb drive back, then J: will show up again. What problems are you experiencing? Because I don't see what the issue really is from what you've written.
You need to format the disk in drive J: before you can use it.

The drive has worked perfectly well many times ago. Disk Management says it is a healthy partition, and it's in RAW. I can assure you it is virus free.
