I like a gun hunting birds or for sporting clays around 8 1/2 lbs and in an O/U with 30" barrels. Browning Cynergy lineup - has the sporting - but the comb does not move left or right only up and down / but nothing wrong with it.

Jan 20, 2005 · All things considered , the Beretta 391 Urika Sporting may be the best choice. Your desire for an all around shotgun is somewhat problematic . If you buy a REAL trap gun , one with a trap stock and possibly a higher rib , it will shoot too high for sporting clays. A trap gun shoots high , anywhere from 60-90% of the pattern above the line of sight.

Sep 10, 2009 · I shoot 7/8 oz of 8's at about 1225 fps - as my primary 20ga load for Skeet and Sporting clays. Even in a 12ga I rarely shoot anything except a 1 oz load. 8's are a compromise shell - pretty good out to about 40 yards / and you don't give up that much density even on shots at 15 - 20 yards.

For Mod and IM chokes, they have given me about a 25% larger pattern at 18 yards, for full, about 30% larger. Past about 25 yards, too many holes IMHO for sporting clays.
