WNBA players in the Connecticut Sun and Chicago Sky game were thrown out on Wednesday night after a fracas sparked in the second quarter.
This could result in scheduling conflicts between the WNBA postseason and the tennis tournament, according to a report by Tim Kawakami of the San Francisco Standard. The Valkyries would likely have to maneuver around the Laver Cup in order to host games in the first two rounds of the playoffs, which begin on September 16.
The first one is between the Atlanta Dream and the Chicago Sky at 8 p.m. ET, followed by the Indiana Fever taking on the Phoenix Mercury in the desert at 10 p.m. ET. The Connecticut Sun and Los Angeles Sparks will also be in action at 10 p.
