Colorado wildlife officials, as a precaution, traveled to Wildcat Creek to evacuate the trout earlier this week.

Officials announced Saturday that the lightning-sparked Elk Fire, first reported on Aug. 2, 11 miles southeast of Meeker in Rio Blanco County, is fully contained.
