A flood warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Friday at 2:24 p.m. in effect until 6:30 p.m. for Hunterdon and Somerset counties.

On Wednesday at 11:14 a.m. a flood watch was released by the National Weather Service valid between 1 p.m. and 10 p.m. for Somerset and Bedford counties.

We start with continuing coverage -- as PennDOT crews are swiftly working to get Route 219 open. It's after flash floods damaged a bridge in Somerset County. The bridge spans Piney Creek --and is a key factor in commercial trucks -- passengers and emergency services getting around the area.
