Penny Fire initially started 2:32 p.m. Feb. 26 in San Diego County. It has burned nine acres after being active for 18 hours.

No structures were threatened as of 2:30 p.m. Wednesday as firefighters attacked the brush fire from the ground and sky, per the Forest Service.
