Less than 24 hours after defeating the New England Patriots, 42-10, in their preseason finale, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports that wide receiver Montrell Washington has been cut.

The New York Giants made their first wave of cuts on Friday en route to reaching the 53-man roster limit, releasing eight players from their 90-man preseason roster. That leaves the Giants with 83 players, including placekicker Jude McAtamney, who carries an International Exemption. They have 30 moves remaining.
