OpenAI has told investors it will share a smaller fraction of revenue with Microsoft , The Information reported on Tuesday.

After months of public pressure, OpenAI walked back part of its effort to create a more conventional for-profit company, but its restructuring plans still have not received the blessing of a major stakeholder: Microsoft Corp.

Microsoft unveiled new 13-inch Surface Laptop and 12-inch Surface Pro models with built-in AI tools, USB-C charging, and smaller screens, starting at $899 and $799.

Microsoft is shipping the new Surface Pro and a smaller 13-inch Surface Laptop on May 20th to consumers, and businesses will be able to purchase these devices on July 22nd.

The Surface Laptop and Surface Pro are lighter and thinner, with pared-down specs, but the 2024 models are better and available for the same prices, if not less.

Now that Microsoft is shutting down the once-popular service after 22 years, many are considering the move to be the end of an era. The company previously announced that the official shutdown of the service would be on May 5, according to Fox News.

As the pioneering video-calling service shuts down, Microsoft urges users to switch to Teams for similar features.
