Currently there is no official confirmation on a Landman Season 2. But we’re gonna gamble and say it’s a sure thing, especially since Taylor Sheridan has written this season finale to be so open-ended.

The Landman Season 1 finale showcases Monty dying of a heart attack. His last wish is to make Tommy the president of M-Tex Oil. While this can change the landman’s life overnight, the shift comes at a time when the company is struggling financially and dealing with threats from the cartel.

A Season 2 of Landman has not been confirmed yet. Season 1 ended with a jaw-dropping finale on January 12, 2025, but, despite many questions being left unanswered, Paramount+ has yet to announce plans for a follow-up.

Tommy and Monty have been willing to play nice, but going into the season finale, local cartel boss Jimenez (Alex Meraz) had refused to let things run smoothly unless he was reimbursed for drugs that the cartel lost trafficking on land managed by M-Tex.
