An Amber Alert was sent out at 7 a.m. Monday as authorities continued searching for a missing 5-year-old boy from Lake County. Jace Saunders, age 5, is diagnosed with autism and is semi-verbal, according to a Tavares Police Department Facebook post.

Kobayashi, 31, whose disappearance sparked a police investigation before she was found to have voluntarily left the country, told relatives she did not want to return to her home state, according to her family.

An Amber Alert has been canceled for a 5-year-old in Lake County. Florida Department of Law Enforcement officials say that Jace Saunders, 5, has been found safe. He was reported missing from the 1000th block of Wells Avenue in Tavares early Monday morning.
