Some schools will be closed or will shift to remote learning on Friday, Jan. 10, due to winter weather conditions affecting the roads and an approaching system that could bring 1–3 inches of snow. Hutchinson and Salina made the calls on Tuesday afternoon and evening respectively to cancel classes for at least one more day as around-the-clock efforts continue to clear streets, highways and parking lots.
