The federal Liberal government released its Fall Economic Statement on Monday on a chaotic day. Finance minister and deputy prime minister Chrystia Freeland, who was expected to table the economic statement, instead resigned early in the day. Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc was sworn in later as the new finance minister.
