Florida deputy killed with rifle during traffic stop. Manhunt finds suspect. What we know
A Charlotte County deputy was killed Sunday afternoon during a traffic stop, according to Charlotte County Sheriff Bill Prummell. A massive manhunt followed the shooting. The suspect was later found at a Punta Gorda restaurant. Prummell said the 24-year-old man tried to grab a rifle before a deputy shot and killed him.
