Liverpool have opened talks with Crystal Palace to sign centre-back Marc Guéhi, with the south London club expecting a fee of around £30 million ($41m) plus £5m in add-ons, sources have told ESPN.

The English center-back is one of the most sought-after players by the big teams in the Premier League and the 'Eagles' are willing to sit down and negotiate.

The Crystal Palace captain, who is now into the final year of his contract at Selhurst Park, has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League champions. According to the BBC, Liverpool have now held initial talks with the Eagles with a view to signing the 25-year-old.
