Reds pitcher Andrew Abbott showed up Saturday afternoon at Bristol wearing a cut-off version of a NASCAR race suit. Born in Lynchburg, Virginia, Abbott said he wanted something to wear in for a special game.

The Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves completed their pre-game ceremonies but then entered a rain delay at Bristol Motor Speedway. The game will not start at its originally-scheduled first-pitch time of 7:15 p.m.

The MLB Speedway Classic was suspended in the first inning because of rain, soaking a record-breaking crowd for the first regular-season game in Tennessee.
