Denver could have a new addition to its skyline if plans continue for a new observation tower in the heart of downtown.

A spiraling 673-foot observation tower could soon twist its way into Denver's skyline — if the city gives it the green light.

If built, the proposed tower would soar to a height that would make it the fourth-tallest structure in the city and state.
