Seventeen Going Under chanter Sam Fender has shared his excitement after being named as one of this year's Radio 1 Big Weekend headliners in Liverpool

Sam Fender will be headlining Radio 1's Big Weekend this year, it has been announced. Myles Smith, Wet Leg, Blossoms and Lola Young are also on the bill in Liverpool, the chosen city for the three-day event. Radio 1 Breakfast Show host Greg James told listeners the festival would take place at Sefton Park from Friday 23 May - Sunday 25 May.

This morning, BBC Radio 1 presenter Greg James announced that this year's Big Weekend would be held in Liverpool, birthplace of The Beatles, on the weekend of Friday 23rd May to Sunday 25th May 2025.
