The Cincinnati Bengals made it official with two defensive coaching hires on Monday. One of those, new defensive line coach Jerry Montgomery, was already known to be on his way to town alongside new coordinator Al Golden. Mike Hodges as linebackers coach is the other announced addition.

The Cincinnati Bengals announced they hired Michael Hodges away from the New Orleans Saints. The longtime linebackers coach made a lateral move:

Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor introduces new defensive coordinator Al Golden at Paycor Stadium. Golden was hired last week after the Bengals fired former defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo. Anarumo is now the defensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts.

Jerry Montgomery was brought on as defensive line coach/run game coordinator and Mike Hodges as linebackers coach.

Golden says for results, the entire team needs to buy in. Democrats are sounding the alarm over President Trump’s move to freeze funding approved in two of former President Biden’s signature laws. Trump issued an executive order pausing the disbursement of funds appropriated through the Inflation Reduction Act and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
