Kirk Herbstreit paid tribute to his late dog Ben, who recently died, with an emotional televised segment ahead of the LSU and Alabama football game on Saturday, Nov. 9.

Herbstreit’s beloved golden retriever had become somewhat of a celebrity through frequent appearances on ESPN’s “College GameDay” and in the broadcast booth.

Earlier this week, the “College GameDay” analyst revealed that Ben had been undergoing chemo treatments but that the situation was deteriorating.
