Earlier this month, it was announced that WWE and ESPN reached an agreement for the broadcaster to become the exclusive home of premium live events starting in 2026. The deal reportedly was for a whopping total of $1.625 billion over five years, with an annual value of $325 million.

WWE has set a special event called "Wrestlepalooza" at ESPN after it was previously scheduled to air on Peacock.

Last summer, the 17-time WWE Champion announced that 2025 would mark the end of his wrestling career. This week, WWE and NBCUniversal confirmed that Cena’s retirement match will take place at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13.
