Texas Tech says junior quarterback Behren Morton will miss the Liberty Bowl after undergoing elective shoulder surgery.

This will be the Hogs' seventh trip to the Liberty Bowl in Memphis, Tenn. The Razorbacks are 3-3 all-time at the event and won their most recent trip, a 55-53 triple overtime victory over Kansas in 2022.

Texas Tech’s starting quarterback Behren Morton, who threw for over 3,000 passing yards as a junior this season, will miss the Liberty Bowl against Arkansas after undergoing an elective surgery on his throwing shoulder.

Arkansas and Texas Tech, who have faced each other 37 times overall, will meet in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl on Dec. 27.
