Lidia Fire initially started 2:07 p.m. Jan. 8 in Los Angeles County. Since its discovery 40 hours ago, it has burned 395 acres, an increase of one more acre since the last update. By Friday morning, the fire crew effectively contained 75% of this fire. The cause of it remains under investigation.

Forward progress has been stopped Thursday on a wildfire burning in Acton that has led to evacuation orders, the fire chief for Los Angeles County said.

Firefighters responded to the Lidia fire around 1 p.m. to the 5700 block of Soledad Canyon Road, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. By 4:11 p.m., the fire had grown to 80 acres. Officials earlier estimated the fire was burning between five and seven acres around 2 p.m.
