An Amber Alert was sent out at 7 a.m. Monday as authorities continued searching for a missing 5-year-old boy from Lake County. Jace Saunders, age 5, is diagnosed with autism and is semi-verbal, according to a Tavares Police Department Facebook post.

Kobayashi, 31, whose disappearance sparked a police investigation before she was found to have voluntarily left the country, told relatives she did not want to return to her home state, according to her family.

Authorities are looking for a missing 5-year-old boy who was reportedly abducted in Lake County on Sunday, prompting an AMBER Alert to be issued.
