Karen Read pleaded not guilty to murder charges in the death of Boston police officer John O’Keefe and is facing a retrial after a jury was unable to reach a verdict last year.

The high-profile Karen Read trial was back inside a Dedham, Massachusetts courtroom with testimony from the medical examiner.

On Thursday, jurors heard testimony from a doctor with the state’s Chief Medical Examiner’s Office about the injuries to O’Keefe and the conclusions of the autopsy she performed. Testimony resumes when the court is back in session at 9 a.m. This post will be updated as testimony gets underway.
