India's markets regulator has widened an investigation into alleged market manipulation by U.S. securities trading firm Jane Street to include other indexes and exchanges, a source familiar with the matter said.

India has barred Jane Street from the country’s financial markets and said it would seize around $570 million that the U.S. securities firm made from allegedly fraudulent trades.

The lawsuit alleged that the traders had stolen a “ highly valuable, unique, and proprietary ” trading strategy, which was quickly revealed to revolve around India’s booming options market. Jane Street and Millennium settled the lawsuit in December, but judging from SEBI’s report it has cast a long (and expensive) shadow.

England were bowled out for 407 in the first innings to trail India by 180 runs on day three of the second test at Edgbaston, where Jamie Smith was stranded on 184 not out while Harry Brook scored 158.
