The news comes in the wake of the first trailer for the movie barking up over 1 million views on YouTube within four days. Good Boy stars Indy, the real-life pet of writer-director Ben Leonberg, as a dog (also named Indy) who tries to warn his owner (Shane Jensen) of evil supernatural forces encroaching on their rural farmhouse.

Good Boy tells the story of a dog that moves into a rural home, and becomes aware of supernatural forces threatening his owner.

Initially planned for a limited theatrical release, the film will now get a wider release after its trailer surprisingly set the internet ablaze. Within only four days of its release, the official trailer had gained over 1 million views on YouTube, generating a frenzy of attention from both horror fans and dog lovers alike.
