Florida football found itself overmatched this weekend in Austin, where the Texas Longhorns handily defeated the Gators during Week 11, 49-17, in the first meeting between the two schools on the collegiate gridiron since 1940.

UF lost the turnover margin 3-1 against the Longhorns and failed to record an interception for the first time since Sept. 21 at Mississippi State. A big reason was that UF's pass rush failed to consistently pressure Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers, as UF finished with just one sack and one quarterback hurry.
