Mostly clear and much colder Saturday night into Sunday morning. Temps sliding back into the single digits below zero to around -10°. Wind chills of -20° to -30° into Sunday morning.

As the first month of 2025 comes to a close, and what a cold month it has been, warmer weather is in store for February. The second month of the year is expected to bring warmer days with it. The monthly temperature outlook has been released, and all of Eastern Kentucky is expected to experience slightly above-normal temperatures.

Temps today add to the departures as we run well below normal with highs in the 20s. Gusty winds will make it feel even colder as some early day flurries and snow showers fly across the east. Skies slowly become partly sunny from southwest to northeast through the day.

The First Alert Weather Team says it’s another cold night ahead, with temperatures dipping into the 20s inland and dropping to the low 30s at the beaches.

Flakes will be flying Friday evening, with some additional snow showers on Saturday. Gusty winds will be an issue the next few days
