Another celebrity-owned chicken restaurant is opening in North Texas. Chicken Guy!, founded by chef Guy Fieri and restaurateur Robert Earl, opens in Dallas' Preston Hollow neighborhood on Feb. 6. According to the restaurant's website,

The Fieri spot was deserted an hour after doors opened at 11 a.m. on January 31. There were a couple of people seated toward the back of the restaurant, past the open kitchen and next to the Jumbotron playing reruns of Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, but otherwise, the dining room was empty.

The restuarant is complete with a signature condiment mascot, the Sauce Slinger, who roams the dining room for an extra saucy experience.

The first Texas Chicken Guy! restaurant opens on Thursday. The restaurant chain from Guy Fieri has multiple locations in the US. More restaurants are expected to open in the Metroplex in the next few years.

You would think that following that infamous Pete Wells review in the New York Times back in 2012, Guy Fieri would steer away from opening a restaurant in Times Square and, yet, here we are: the Food Network star is gearing up to launch his new fast-casual Chicken Guy! concept at 138 West 42nd Street between Broadway and Sixth Avenue this Friday.
