At an event in New York City on Thursday, Microsoft unveiled two additions to the Surface line of PCs. The new Surface Pro and Surface Laptop both arrive with Copilot+ PC certification. Announced in May 2024,

After some teases and hints last week, Microsoft has officially announced the arrival of Intel-powered versions of the Surface Laptop 7 and Surface Pro 11. The new Copilot Plus PCs are coming on February 11 and targeted toward businesses.

Microsoft has announced that it's planning to launch a 5G equipped variant of the Surface Laptop later this year. This is the first time that the company is bringing 5G to its Surface Laptop line, as previously the only way to get a 5G capable Surface PC was via the Surface Pro.

It's fully loaded with a 12-core Snapdragon X Elite processor, 1TB of storage, Windows 11, and Copilot+ for just $1,240.

We've seen multiple new Surface devices launch in the last year, and apparently Microsoft has at least two more on the way in the next couple of months.

Earlier this year, Qualcomm announced Snapdragon X: a new lower-end CPU for budget laptops. Now, Microsoft is tipped to equip both the new Surface Pro and Surface Laptop models with Snapdragon X or Snapdragon X Plus.

According to Windows Central, Microsoft is about to release new smaller versions of the Surface Pro 2-in-1 and Surface Laptop “in the coming weeks.” These new versions will remain premium products, with 11-inch or 12-inch screens and more lightweight designs.
