The University of Texas System is investing $100 million in the School of Civic Leadership at its flagship Austin campus, to top Texas leaders praise.

A $100 million board investment will give the University of Texas at Austin's School of Civic Leadership – which originated as a smaller center championed by conservative lawmakers – a permanent home on campus.

The University of Texas System Board of Regents has dedicated $100 million to creating a "permanent home" for the School of Civic Leadership. The 101-year-old Biological Laboratories building at UT Austin will be renovated by 2028 to house the civic school,
