Australia emerged victorious in the fifth and the final Tst of the Border Gavaskar Trophy that was played over the span of a month, in the process establishing a 3-1 victory over the visitors. It helped Pat Cummins led Australia reclaim the Border-Gavaskar Trophy after 10 years.
