Tournament director Craig Tiley said that players like Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, and Serena Williams should be honoured with statues for their contributions to tennis over the years.

Novak Djokovic shut down his doubters who had argued that the 10-time Australian Open champion had faked his injury in the quarter-final and semi-final in the tournament. Djokovic posted an MRI of his left hamstring and asked the doubters to have a look at it.
