SEATTLE – Mariners opening-day starter Logan Gilbert is being shut down from throwing for at least two weeks after being diagnosed with a grade 1 strain of the flexor in his right elbow.

The Seattle Mariners will add starting pitcher Logan Gilbert to the injured list after he suffered an elbow injury against the Miami Marlins.

There has been a major hiccup in the Seattle Mariners organization with the injury of star pitcher Logan Gilbert. Gilbert was placed on the 15-day injury list on Saturday after sustaining a right elbow flexor strain after throwing just 29 pitches against the Miami Marlins on Friday.
