The Kindle Scribe promises to fix that with its note-taking capabilities, making it easy to scribble in the margins like I do on paper. The original Kindle Scribe, from 2022, missed the mark for me.

It's the direct equivalent of the standard Kindle, but adds waterproofing, a better-contrast display and warmer lighting. It's slightly more expensive, but potentially worth the uplift.
