The new memorial plaza is estimated to be completed in April and will offer a larger community gathering spot to honor fallen deputies.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the Escambia County Sheriff Foundation, will hold a groundbreaking Thursday for a Law Enforcement Memorial Plaza. This project will honor deputies who made the ultimate sacrifice and serve as a place of remembrance, healing, and connection for the community.

Families and law enforcement alike gathered at the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday to celebrate the foundations of the Law Enforcement Memorial Plaza. The memorial will feature the names of fallen deputies who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
